i mean it's not like venezuela is that far from the US… they aren't invading a country on the other side of the world..
i’m sure if there was a country at a similar distance from china (like in oceania or whatever) that had nobody major backing it on the international stage (just like venezuela), they could probably capture the leader if they wanted

People say that America is losing its position to China, but at least militarily only America has a world-spanning military force. We’re the only country that can invade a country on a different continent (Venezuela) and capture their leader, invade Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc. China could literally never do any of that.
