People say that America is losing its position to China, but at least militarily only America has a world-spanning military force. We’re the only country that can invade a country on a different continent (Venezuela) and capture their leader, invade Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc. China could literally never do any of that.
I don’t think military force will be super important. We both have militaries large enough that a direct attack on the other would potentially be very difficult/unlikely, and China is making a lot of developing countries dependent on them economically and politically. Meanwhile the US is pissing everyone off by (threatening to) invade them.
I agree with everything you wrote, but I think it won’t be a major factor in who comes out on top.
this might be a given but im sure china would have a lot more leverage if it were to gain more control of taiwan
