Ads on sports uniforms as a concept always looks worse than no ads and I will die on this hill
Soccer jerseys should take a page out of world rugby’s book and only have the maker’s logo and crest on the jersey, if you absolutely need ads then small ones on the sleeves or below the back collar are ideal. They don’t always look bad and some ads on the chest are about as tasteful as they can be, but they’d look better without them. I’m also way more in favor of local companies being sponsored than massive multi-billion dollar international corporations. Big companies are fine so long as they have logical logistic ties to the team they’re sponsoring, otherwise it feels like a money-grubbing ploy for both parties. If it’s not Dunkin or Wayfair sponsoring the Boston Legacy, I don’t want it
The MLB and NBA both look significantly worse with sponsor patches, especially if they clash with the team’s color scheme or have a solid background container (love’s sponsoring the thunder looked awful, for example)
Crazy that the NFL of all leagues is the only major league left with no ads. You’d think they’d be on it ASAP given how obviously money hungry the owners are.
Words cannot express how hyped I am to see sports uniform discourse on this place of all places. Finally, another place where my endless sports uniform opinions can be broadcasted for all to view. I could keep going for several hundred more posts do not test my power
if I didn’t know better, at a glance I’d assume this was like a uae national team

sure it could look worse, but having big advertisements front and center doesn’t look good
Bro does not know what he’s on about 🔥🔥🔥
name me 1 football jersey that has an obstructive sponsor that isn’t from the Colombian third division
Hot take? Soccer/Football jerseys suck. All modern football jerseys are just advertisements, which look corny and ugly. Sports like basketball, baseball, American football, etc have clean and simple jersey designs. Yet football jerseys are so obtrusive with all their sponsorships.
+1 it definitely make more sense if something like nike, wilson, addidas, ect. sponsor a team. Airlines such as emirates that I always see on football kits look so out of place
L take, sponsors on the front take up needed space
bro might actually be the final boss of consumerism
jokes aside though, needing sponsors to take up space is just a sign of a bad design, just add some strips or literally anything to take up space
Kits can have patterns and a sponsor
yeah agreed, and i think most of them do
