Hot take (maybe) and I hope they see this: I despise AI art, AI voices, AI writing, AI everything. I HATE IT. I had never until a month ago used ChatGPT for anything because of this. Using it gives off the feeling that you learn nothing from the experience and also the extreme laziness of just not wanting to get your crap done yourself is just not something I want to put in practice. Something that really pissed me off and opened my eyes to many things was a Robotics investigation we had to do. Everyone used ChatGPT to get their info. but I insisted on finding it myself. Ultimately (and I searched a lot) I found nothing and had to make an account for that God-forsaken service in order to get at least a specific object of investigation to research on. I hate the dependence we have all developed to it, to the point it becomes impossible to work without it; and now more than ever, I pray every day for all LMs' downfall.
AI was cool when it was new a few years ago. Today it's just scary. People (AI companies) are taking it way too far. It was a cool little thing to have as a chatbot, but now we have AI videos and images and articles and code and it's just going too far too fast.
Only too far. Not too fast because it already should not have gotten to this point. I still reject AI and everything I notice it on.
I completely understand why you'd hate AI image generators but what the hell did llms do to you lol
