Tame impala should produce an album for Travis Scott or Kanye. They have really good production, they just don’t have good lyrics. Of course, rap production is usually pretty good anyways though

taste is subjective but tame impala lyrics are usually decent imo

Can almost hear the fun that I should be having Instead of all this dreaminginnerspeaker and lonerism deal with being an outcast and well, being a loner. lyrics include “there's a party in my head and no one is invited” and “can almost hear the fun that I should be having instead of all this dreaming”.

And you're gonna have to let it go someday You've been diggin' it up like Groundhog Daycurrents deals with heartbreak and change, for example “i heard about a whirlwind that's coming round, it’s gonna carry off all that isn't bound and when it happens, when it happens (i won't be holding on)” and the slow rush leans even more into change and also letting go of the past “and you're gonna have to let it go someday, you've been diggin' it up like groundhog day”. Posthumous Forgiveness especially has some great writing/storytelling imo.
