12.7.23 || What the heck does "self-contradictory" mean? Can't you just say "contradictory"? Extra word: "self" (sounds more important). Plus, if you're referring to a pair of statements being "self-contradictory," well... one of the two statements by itself isn't contradictory, is it?! So neither statement is contradicting itself! The pair is just "contradictory"! Man, George Carlin was right.

11.26.23 || An experiment: Lyrics are very important in songs. Even aside from the lyrics' meaning, the instrumental often sounds empty without them. But you can't make lyrics randomly or without thought; they must be constructed carefully, or else they don't match with the instrumental. What if one were to try to make a song where the lyrics are carefully crafted, each SYLLABLE chosen carefully to match with the instrumental, without any regard for meaning in the lyrics? Let's see what happens.

11.24.23 || holy moly when i was recording this new song it took me like all day because SOUNDTRAP. KEPT. CRASHING. i had to start over at one point (which is okay because i think i recorded it better the second time) and just record backing vocals over a single .mp3 file that contained all of the vocals i recorded previously. this better sound good, i'm not going to do as much work on this one as i hoped i would.

11.22.23 || My brother once said, about my Scratch game Platoon, "Why were you considering making your game worse?" These days I often think that about my old songs. Some parts of my old songs I knew were bad when I was writing them; why did I find it acceptable to share songs that were intentionally partly bad?
11.21.23 || Any notebook entry I write today probably will not have a good place here. I had written and discarded about 3 of them. Sometimes I wonder if I have been writing too many dark notebook entries lately. Are people here for the wisdom or for the humor? Heck it, I'll do what I want, some of this stuff needs to be said.
