It really annoys me when a character says something like "now this is just a guess but I think. . . " And they're always dead right. Spot on. What. Every single time. They speak solely on conjecture about something they usually don't know anything about and. Boom. Bullseye.

fun fact that im not sure if people know:

if you want to link to a profile without pinging that person, put quotations around the username

(e.g “@kiwi” or “@boxboy”)

then the username is still hyperlinked, but it doesn’t ping the user, making it slightly better than saying @/kiwi
