My favourite part of the hdmi spec is that it carries a small amount of power (300 mA of 5V to be exact), which means you could in theory charge over hdmi, very slowly
I find it interesting that Americans have a choice if they want to vote or not. In Australia, once you turn 18 (next year 😬) it's mandatory to go and vote. If you dont, you get fined
