much more sane Helldivers headcanon that’s based on more than β€œI just kinda felt like it lolβ€œ:

you (as the player) aren’t actually a helldiver, rather you are your super destroyer’s onboard AI that controls the helldivers. This could explain why even if β€œyouβ€œ die you can still spectate and see the UI, and maybe an explanation on why this AI isn’t an enemy-of-democracy killing machine is that they have to rush production and don’t have time to train the models beforehand, other than the helldiver tutorial.

I think I’ve committed what Super Earth would consider a thoughtcrime

POST CONTENTS: Helldivers 2, dragons, shipping
if it wasn't clear enough this post is going to be exceptionally strange
you have been warned, run.

in Helldivers 2 you don’t see the faces of most characters other than a few of the staff on your super destroyer, so for characterization you pretty much have to rely on voice lines.

there are two aircraft typically deployed from your super destroyer, the fighter jet (Eagle-1) and the extraction shuttle (Pelican-1)

for some reason I immediately decided that I should ship the pilots (even though I never ship characters and am not typically interested in romance at all)

a few minutes ago my brain came up with the absolutely ingenious idea of:

hey, we barely have any actual physical representation of these characters
...
plane dragons

yep, first it started shipping them, and now its shipping them as (non-anthro) plane dragons (based on the vehicles they pilot obviously)

[normal speak: for the past few months I have been (occasionally) experimenting with
furry/anthro stuff internally, due to how adjacent it is to many parts of my identity
(the dragon/creature part), and how widespread it is. after many simulations (what I
call my excursions into my imagination), generation tests (making characters, worlds, 
etc.), and analyses, I have come to the conclusion that its not really for me, I 
simply don't vibe with it. This in no way means that I won't respect or appreciate any
of it.]

anthrozine: thoughtcompound attributed to hybrid anthropomorphic entities [in regular speak: furry-esque stuff]

most usages of the compound usually resulted in spontaneous generation or change in thoughtforms
effects of compound are hard to control, and often result in destabilization
some events resulted in the creation of invasive thoughtforms
many events resulted in the temporary modification of CORE's form, whether by or against its will
thoughtcompound has a low or even anti-resonant effect on several thoughtforms and entities, including DRAGON

experiment summary: while the compound has some unique and potentially usable outputs,
systems generally do not resonate much with it. These experiments may have increased
tolerance to the thoughtcompound, but high levels often cause unwanted events to occur.

ugh we're gonna be going through so many filters and catalysts again
I don't even know where I get this stuff it just kinda gets manufactured randomly

(my mind is a large complex of odd machinery and characters in the middle of a supposedly endless void)
(I may be in the control room, but the buttons merely send requests, and nothing has to comply unless it wants to)
(it usually all works fine, its just another visual/mechanical representation of my mind, but sometimes things get a bit... out of hand)
(the representations are relatively fluid, but it usually sticks to something close-ish to this)

it appears that destroying internal security systems has also destroyed the
