New features:
Interaction entities are new entities that, like display entities, are useful for map makers! They record left clicks (attacks) and right clicks (interactions)
New experimental features:
The sniffer is a friendly ancient mob that sniffs the air and occasionally digs up new ancient seeds!
The torchflower is one of these new plants, which can be used to breed Sniffers. It can also be crafted into dye.
There is a new cherry grove biome, which can be found in mountainous areas. The biome contains many pretty pink cherry blossom trees!
A new decorative block called Pink Petals can be found on the floor of these new biomes, and it is made of many pink flowers on the ground!
The new cherry wood set is a light pink wood that can be made into all of the wood items!
The brush is a new tool that can be used to brush away things.
Desert temples and wells now contain suspicious sand, which is very fragile! It can be brushed to reveal buried from long ago.
Pottery shards are one of these items, and they have different pictures on them.
These pottery shards can be used to craft a decorated pot, with different pictures based off of the shards used.
There is also a minecraft preview (1.19.70.23) for bedrock which contains the archaeology and sniffer-related features.
A new cherry blossom biome was announced for Minecraft, which contains pink cherry trees with a new light pink wood set. There is also a flower carpet block that covers the floor, giving the biome more life
Minecraft speedrunner zylenox set a new world record for 1.16+ RSG with a time of 7.45, shattering the 8-minute barrier
