one time I had an idea for an OS with a kernel written in Rust and a userspace JIT for some language like Scheme or Smalltalk to write apps in
ofc it could also run ELFs but this would be the way to write native apps for it
maybe I should actually create that idk
Update: Big Sur installer finished downloading (took an hour 😭)
I found out you can install macOS updates via the command line. I also found out you can do this for any version that a) is still being signed by Apple and b) works on your device—including older versions. Let’s just say Liquid Glass is gonna be gone from my Mac soon if this works
