After a long time of attempting to fix the multitude of issues, including the DDoS attacks and data vulnerabilities that have affected this platform, we are happy to announce that we are finally clean from spam and we have implemented new measures to reduce and/or prevent spam from entering the website.However, although we may have been able to clear out the spam and recover from the DDoS attacks, it’s important to know that we are putting a strict daily limit on sign ups just to be safe and ensure that we have a proper system put in place in order to protect Blaze from harmful DDoS attacks or any potential threats to this platform.Thank you to everyone who has stood by us and helped us throughout this difficult time. i miss the golden days of wasteof. i can't provide an exact pinpoint of when that was, but it was probably during 2022. the thing is that i used to like almost every single post in my feed. that is most certainly not the case anymore. 80% of my feed is filled with bots, repost chains, spam, wars about random stuff, fighting, and more. it's honestly not pleasant at all trying to use wasteof with all that is happening on here. there are people that have made 60 posts in the past two days and have filled 32 pages of posts THIS YEAR alone. i make 60 posts in 2 months. i've been used wasteof for over 2 years on this account and i only have 52 pages of posts. this is not okay, and it needs to stop. along with this, think about it from the perspective of admins/mods. they have to deal with moderating everything i discussed earlier. they have to deal with the spam of accounts created just for the purpose of stat boosting, which against the rules. walk a mile in their shoes. think about them the next time before you start spamming, making repost chains, or really doing anything on here.

crazy how we had to ban 73% of users who signed up in the last week because they’re random seo spam bots that have decided wasteof is a good place to spam

sorry @jeffalo i’ll have to use the beta api because it includes follower counts of the followers when getting all followers of a user. It may seem like spam but actually it’ll be less spam than using the wasteof2 api

preliminary report this might be disproved but BLAZE MIGHT BE USING MALWARE FOR ITS ANTI-SPAM. the so-called “advanced anti-spam” that lovable uses (actually made by some rando on github) can take screenshots of your screen, grab your cookies and localstorage and send them to their servers.

please exercise caution after you have donned your hazmat suit to check on the ai slop that is blaze

Note for any future bots: 

Do not use any common prefixes for your bot if you make one. Common ones are `/` `!` `?` `$` and many others. None of the bot’s prefixes must clash with one another. (My interpretation of what jeffalo said)

# Changelog:

Prefix “/” was removed and “wob” prefix was adopted. Nobody use `wob` prefix as it is mine.

All commands have changed to use the new prefix. Example: `wob joke` command for jokes in wasteof.money/chat . For anywhere else; use `@wasteof_bot joke`

New command:

Invite!! This is used to invite any user to talk to in wasteof.money/chat

Syntax: `wob invite [user]` in wasteof.money/chat

`@wasteof_bot invite [user]` for anywhere in this website other than chat

Note that if you spam ping users, you have a high chance of being banned. You have been warned

Protections against ping spam:

1. It only pings if the user is online

2. You can use this command once per minute (you may suggest to make cooldown shorter or longer)
