i hate when people say stuff like “we should exterminate ${nativeSpecies}”, like you can't just genocide a group of animals because they annoy you. no one personally “likes” mosquitos and ticks, but other animals eat them. an ecosystem is the result of millions of years of evolution attempting to reach stability and you can't mess with that without unbalancing everything.
i think most people arent fully serious when saying this
