Roma people literally live in pre-Civil Rights era racism in much of Europe, segregated in their own towns, and denied many services. It genuinely shocked me to learn that this still happens in the EU, supposedly the most progressive place on Earth.

I can’t express how shocked I am that this actually still happens. There is no people group in America treated this badly, and I can’t believe this treatment happens in other democratic, developed countries.
