I think that I just discovered a new meta for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Tatsugiri and Dondozo retain their special interaction with each other. When a Dondozo is switched in with a Tatsugiri on the team, it gains a boost to all five stats. The OHKO move Fissure, which Dondozo can learn, has been changed to a 250 base power physical move for the Legends format. However, it’s still absolutely lethal.
My setup is to train a Dondozo in Attack and Speed, have it hold Soft Sand, teach it the moves Fissure and Order Up, and put a curly Tatsugiri in the team. With this setup, you’ll be able to target preoccupied competitors and fire off at least one super-lethal Fissure with 240 effective base power. Dondozo is more than tanky enough to survive any blows while it charges up, and Order Up can be used to regain the attack boost. I tell you, don’t doze on Dondozo!
