random fact of the day: there is no wikipedia article about the web series “battle for dream island”. it turns out that this is intentional, and in fact there’s literally an essay on wikipedia about why there isn’t an article for bfdi.
tldr: among other reasons, it doesn’t have an article because there’s next to no media coverage of the series outside of the series itself and sites like imdb and fandom that anyone can edit. if anyone were to make a wikipedia article, they’d only be able to use those sources, and as a result it’d be very, very biased.
this feels wrong on so many levels, and i’m not even a bfdi fan
like i feel like the mere lack of a bfdi wikipedia article is so ingrained within wikipedia lore that this no longer being the case is strange
