I’m finding our TVOD solution for Childish Things. After shopping around, nothing stands out to me as a great choice.

Before I settle for one of these existing platforms, let me ask you computer people out there: how hard would it be to host the movie on my own website and gate it behind a paywall with both purchase and rental options?

Your expertise is appreciated.

There are certainly options out there already (think Vimeo?) but there are plenty of benefits of hosting it yourself. No limitations for bandwidth, etc. If you're looking to go the custom website route, I'd love to help out!

Probably not too hard to just host it and have people pay for it, but if you want to make sure people can’t pirate it might get complicated, not an expert on this though

yeah hosting it yourself/(on some static website host) won’t be that bad (only bandwidth, but probably won’t have too much traffic anyway), the hard part is DRM if you want that.

I’m not too worried about piracy. Eyeballs are our number one concern, and pirates probably wouldn’t pay for it otherwise

cool, in that case I think you should be able to hire someone to develop a site to host and advertise it for not too expensive
