it’s weird when I realize that people online that I think are popular and have a lot of followers don’t think that they’re popular or maybe don’t realize it. kinda ironic lol

yeah like on Darflen there’s @eagle who actually doesn’t have that many more followers than me and then on like TikTok or Insta there’s users. I just used an example from wasteof because I’m on wasteof. also I think it happens irl too because i’ve seen the same thing. i’ve had people who I think have a lot of friends tell me that they think I have a ton of friends compared to them.

Interesting. I've seen examples on YouTube of people not realising they’re popular, but maybe that’s just because people don’t mention that on YouTube generally

I judge popularity on Wasteof based on median likes/reposts/comments on their posts

one example is when I first joined and thought @esben was really popular because he had like 69 followers and was really active

then again, it depends on what you think popular means
