as long as you never touch sshfs or anything that uses FUSE

if anything uses that ever goes unresponsive, EVERYTHING that uses kio will follow suit (which includes almost all things KDE)

i agree however i feel like the distro also matter for how functional it is, as i had some problems with some distros in the past (but some of the distros i had problems with i used gnome on them)
