imean,, that’s it’s etymology, but ultimately liberals are centrists compared to actual comunism, and then republicans call the communists anyway, andthen the liberals just go along with it because they have been lied to and think compromise, even with conservatives, means that they are “taking the high road” when no one cares if democrats are taking the high road and it’s just making the lives of the average citizen worse
