I read that book, it was great
It's a great book and a fun read
Some other recommendations:
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (and the sequels The Book of Dust, of which only 2/3 is published so far)
Autour de la Lune by Jules Verne
I have not read that one, but books!! I just finished reading a really long series about Mars, it was really good but painfully long. I don't know if my library has the book you recommended, but if you have any others I would be glad to hear them
