Did not go to a 7-Eleven today but I’m reminded of one of my favorite memories from my trip to California last year -
I happened to be in Los Angeles on July 11th and the hotel I was at was across from a 7-Eleven. I got my cup from the cashier and went to find the machine and I passed a couple from Australia who had just left the airport basically. One of them saw the cup and asked me about it so I informed them that it was in fact 7-11 that day and they could get a free Slurpee®.
This place was filthy, even by convenience store standards, but they were genuinely excited to be there and it was awesome. Glad I was able to welcome them to America 🇺🇸
