I hate to drag the previous administration into this conversation, but they acted upon all of their campaign promises, without actually doing anything in reality, because it was all roleplaying, and everyone went along with it.
Yes, they renamed X back to Twitter, but they didn’t really do that, and everyone was fully aware of it. Yes, they said they’d bankrupt Adobe, but Adobe continues to plague humanity, and people were aware that nothing was really going to change from the start.
There’s enough serious stuff out there (on the internet and in the real world) that it’s ok for this small corner of the internet to be lighthearted once in a while. The world is not going to explode if I post an edited image of a blue Redbox and say we made them dispense advice instead of movies.
And as for the iOS app/wom merchandise/other stuff you guys promised you’d do, there is nothing stopping you or oren from creating either of those things, regardless of whether or not you win this election. Neither is there anything stopping me or Late from doing the things we said we’d do, regardless of whether or not we win. Both of our parties’ promises are just additional perks for a title that holds no real significance.
When I say it ain’t that deep, I mean that in the grand scheme of things, this election isn’t really going to change anything. I don’t see why accepting this and having fun with it is an issue.
