200step is a genre coined by Masaya Oya, better known online as Camellia or Cametek. The genre is a subgenre of Dubstep, where it uses a similar sound design style in 200 BPM. The first song to have been labeled as 200step is Enantiomorphs, which was released by the record label known as Exit Tunes on Camellia’s album “MEGANTO METEOR”. 200step has often been compared to Drumstep in the way that it is a faster form of Dubstep, and it similarly comes with unique drum patterns that distinguish the genre as well. The genre has gained a lot of recognition as “rhythm game music”, as its fast-paced energy makes it perfect for creating fun and challenging charts.
So I heard Kaleb left wasteof… guess I’m the Resident Music Maker Guy I think.
Anyway, I recently released a new song recently for a tiebreaker event in a rhythm game tournament, with the rhythm game being Pulsus! Pulsus is a rhythm game played on a square that’s controlled with your numpad, and it’s kind of like button Osu!. So it reads similarly to Osu! Standard except you don’t have to worry about aim since instead of notes being in an infinite number of places, they’ll just be in either top left, top, top right, left, center, right, bottom left, bottom, or bottom right. But because of the fact that it’s on the keyboard, it plays like… idk, Osu! Mania. or Quaver or something. So you get a ton of really cool tech capabilites by moving your hands around and going vertical and there’s just so much cool stuff.
I glaze this game way too much so I’m super thankful that Tetrogem wanted me to do an official tiebreaker song for it (this isn’t the first time they’ve had me do this but it’s still cool)!
