i was using aerothemeplasma for a long while before i uninstalled it since it didn’t work under Wayland, and X11 (at least on my end) has issues such as the mouse cursor and window titlebars becoming completely invisible after starting/exiting an application that used hardware graphics (primarily srb2/doom and it’s many forks)

i was mostly annoyed by the push by KDE and GNOME towards Wayland for a while, but after finally getting an actual graphics card and being able to double-monitor, X11 only sees use when something actually needs it

I would use Wayland more if only

• FFmpeg supports capturing screens in Wayland

• there’s something like XScreenSaver for it (there’s none?!)
