at what point do I just give up and get a dating app
apparently a couple of my friends got boyfriends recently, but I have no idea how to meet people my age now that I’m out of school and college (the next youngest person at my work just turned 28, I’m not a drinker/partier, and there’s not that much going on where I live)

or go to places besides work more often, outings, library, community clubs like lion’s club or uhh idk tennis clubs (im sure you could find some on like facebook or smth), just be a part like a real solid part of your community and you’ll find someone who thinks you’re all right probably. or fishing. thats how my parents met when they were in their thirties and fifties :3

Awesome idea, not sure if there will be any close to me but I actually would love to do this in general
im kinda in the same boat tbh but I don’t really think dating apps are a solution either. i’d rather just meet people naturally than force the expectation of a romantic relationship with a stranger, just feels like you’re setting each other up for awkwardness at best at heartbreak at worse. the most I plan on doing in the near future is putting myself in more environments to meet new people and see what happens. I kinda want to find somebody soon but i’m not desperate, uncomfortable being single, or willing to rush things just for the sake of being in a relationship so I definitely think being patient and letting things happen naturally is the way to go right now. maybe my mindset will change if nothing happens for a few years but we’ll see

Other than me yeah, he’s also young compared to most people here. The next youngest person in my department is around 40
