These things happen. Horrible tragedies whose emotional weight simply cannot be put into words. Genocides. Authoritarian and fascistic rule. Great nations believing themself immortal and promptly collapsing. And we say, "Never again." And then 100 years pass. And then they happen again. Because the dead do not speak, and the living do not listen.
