Andy Weir is a great author, and he wrote the Martian, but his most recent book Project Hail Mary is one of my favorites of all time.

Stephen King is good, but his series The Dark Tower is one of his best works. It's a kind of western-fantasy series. The second book in the series is my favorite of all time
