It spawned a year ago from a community of very young developers from Scratch(educational programming language) and that's where it built of most of its userbase. However it has spread on the internet as it gets recommended to IRLs or "discovered" like you did here.
The community is mostly chill, its used to microblog, collaborate on coding projects, or share art and photography.
It's more like a small friend discord than a social media TBH. Admins acting like people, popularity based on how much you post, rules being vague(use common sense), there’s no algorithm, everyone’s mostly same brainwave.
