He's destroying the very thing he paid $44B for, which is the brand. Obviously, the technology isn't worth $44B (That's why Mastodon and other Twitter clones exist and are open source), but by destroying the user base, brand recognition, and platform reputation, he's going to destroy Twitter even more. Especially after he just revealed that Twitter X is losing more money than it makes.
