After my basic introduction I did at a school in Greece, which included me mentioning that I am half Russian and speak Russian. One kid started speaking basic Russian to me, I learned that, his grandfather, who was Central Asian (which was a part of the Soviet Union at that time) lived in Russia, and then moved to Greece, this really intrigued me and we started talking, I found it VERY interesting at the mix of Central Asian/Russian/Greek in his family, they would eat traditional Russian food, for example Blinchiki (that's usually eaten with a sweet (jam/honey), or even fish/meat) but with a twist, like hot sauce. It was very cool seeing such a mix of cultures in a rural place. Sometimes the most interesting stories come from the most unexpected places, like a small village school in the middle of Greece. Definitely wish to visit them again.
