Therefore, overtime I can imagine that taste buds must've developed in certain species like humans because they would allow us to determine whether or not certain food was something we wanted to eat or not. Note that things like rocks, dirt, and other inedible things do not taste very good. If they did taste very good, people would start eating them more, and probably wouldn't live very long, which means their lineage will end.
Logically, traits that make a species more likely to survive and procreate have a higher probability of being seen in the future. Traits that make it more difficult are likely not going to be seen much in the future. However, it is possible that certain traits won't affect an individual's ability to succeed in life, which is why there is so much diversity. Some things don't really matter, or don't matter enough.
This means that individuals' tastes in food are based off of their genetics, but it's also slightly modified by mutations and stuff. It's also obviously possible for some things to not be genetic at all, and rather experience based. Spice tolerance, I would guess, is probably one of those things.
But another deciding factor is the among us fortnite demon. If the among us fortnite demon comes to your house, you should probably run because that is very bad and you could get seriously injured. The among us fortnite demon and does not have mercy, and it does not care about your genetics and your spice tolerance. It will reach you if you do not make any attempt to escape. Be wary.
