Okay so I have just recently learned how stupid people are (This is all TikTok related). Apparently there was a “Light yourself on fire challenge” try to guess what people did? They lit themselves on fire… with gasoline. Also there was a blackout challenge where people held their breath to blackout. Guess what? People died. They didn’t know oxygen was a necessary thing to live
I remember the NyQuil chicken and how it was just a few people, then news went “OH MY GOD EVERYONE IS DOING IT” which caused everyone to do it. Are you sure these are that popular? Of course there’s going to be stupid people, given a large enough group there’s bound to be a few. The question is how many.
i can imagine someone starting a “jump off a building” challenge as a joke and someone actually doing it
the people who make the challenges are either way dumber or way smarter
