Dang, sorry! I’m going through and fixing lots of bugs in wasteof.mobile since I’m trying to put it on Google Play. It’s very likely that the profile picture is just cached. Caching makes the app a lot faster, but it does have some downsides (like not updating images frequently enough).

you should use the thing where you just get the modify date header and if it’s more than the cached image redownload it
If it was a big issue then I would - however, that’s a lot of work to solve a small problem. Very low-priority at the moment.
