I’ve been listening to the radio on the way to work, maybe I really am getting old
in the process of separating from someone I’ve been with for about four years so to distract myself I’ve been thinking it’s finally about time to just get in my car and drive west
I need to accumulate more time off from work and wait for winter to be over but I’m going to try to have a proper road trip adventure on my own at some point next year
I had to get my car battery replaced last week and I did notice they changed the time (my clock was still an hour fast from the summer but they set it to be an hour slow somehow lol) but when I parked just now I saw that the date reads 6-6-2019 and I don’t know how that one happened

survival / horror game idea: you’re heading west to oregon in a wagon train and dealing with resource management, river crossings, rattlesnakes, bandits, etc. during the day, but at night (or just throughout a particular area) you’re also fending off different north american cryptids that try to eat you and your party and cattle. Bonus points if the monster part isn’t advertised and the first couple nights you’re fighting against angry farmers and cowboys or something and then the scariness ramps up out of nowhere, I think that would be really funny
