I don’t think it can be the sheer fewness of the users, since I can count how many were involved in that oren controversy from a while back, and it’s a comparable amount. Was the TBG Forums just lucky to get users that agreed with each other often? Thinking back to the 2017-2019 time of the TBG Forums, it’s a lot larger. I can think of at least one controversy, but it’s not anywhere close to what’s happening here.

I’m only realizing now how different the TBG Forums are. What makes it so that there, the flame wars are about stuff like someone hating a certain word a little too much, and when a transphobic user shows up, we just go “haha no” and we never see them again? Is it about how only about 7 users are active there?
