this community isn’t very much better than anything else tbh
when you have a lot of the same going on you get into an echo chamber where no one gets to express any other opinion
the only logical thing to follow that, then, is a lot of complaining and infighting about nothing worthwhile
i don’t think i can really interact with this community that often, due to the amount of useless shit-stirring i see getting like 20+ upvotes from people crying about the “good old days of wasteof” (when we were using jdenticon? when we were getting spammed by the bee movie script? maybe it was a bit funny, but it’s just the same as now.)
basically, there needs to be a change where people go back to posting good and funny, “gunny”, if you will, and if they’ve something negative to say, just don’t.
this is because of the fact that wasteof doesn’t (yet? maybe in wasteof4? will suggest this if it’s not already planned) have native cws, meaning you have to cw like twitter and get a userscript to hide the post. if there were cws, people could cw for meta, then no one would have to see these useless posts (because let’s be real, meta on wasteof is nowhere near as serious as on other communities like fedi, and there’s almost never an actual reason to post it).
