what do you mean about multiple bots doing the same thing?
do you mean you don’t want multiple account having the same function?
if other bots commented on profiles whenever an action involving them occured, it would mean walls could be more bots than users which is not great. but its fine for wombucks for now.

it looks interesting.. how does it work, and what does it do?
I am using Python with Requests and the SocketIO client.
Whenever it gets a message, it checks the content of the message to see if it starts with “$“ (the command prefix). It then check if the command matches between help, join, send, bal, and admin . Help, join, send ar pretty self explanatory, but bal returns your balance. Admin has stuff for admins (I can make you one).
It is a bot that is basically a money system. You can send money to people, but there might be more features later that will be features for “employers“ and there might be a “shop“ where you can buy fake wasteof stuff.
In the future, there will be admin controls if people are “abusing“ it. That would include banning them and freezing their assets so they can’t send/recieve WOmBucks.
If you want the code, I would be glad to give it to you. Tell me if you want it and I’ll get it to you.

interesting. i think it would probably be fine as long as it only posts in its on wall. but what purpose does it serve? like how does it benefit the site?
It will only post on its wall.
it doesn’t really ahve much purpose, it is just a fun little thing I wanted to make.
maybe in the future I could review items people could buy and then they could maybe buy them with wombucks.
I also might add a thing where “employers“ could pay the employees for work they have done, but thats farther down the road of developement

yea spoiler tags would be interesting. but not easily implementable with the current editor setup
i’m talking about the editor that you see when you try making a post or comment. its using postmirror (abstracted away using tiptap), and so therefore i would need to make a custom extension for spoiler tags, and then implement a way to store these custom spoiler tags as html (which could be different from the rendered results). and then i would need to backport the changes to wasteof2.
i see the usefulness, but it’s a lot easier to just have people not post triggering things.. maybe in the future once wasteof3 is 1:1 compatible with wasteof2.
