Does this thing have dms
is it at all possible to make tags? like for example we start doing a wasteof equivalent of the r/nosleep or something? (we could also make tiktoks of them like reddit has XD)
that would be fun, but I don't think there's enough users yet - the tags will feel very empty

dms are really hard, because they need to be moderated, but i dont want to be able to read your dms.
tags would be very generic
people would just spam #trending #feed and unnecessary tags
a limit of 1 - 2 tags would make that easier to limit, which would be cool
i was also thinking that all users should follow @wasteof.money when they first register, since it is the official news account, and maybe the most recent post from the account showing up for unregistered/logged-out users? it would make the home page for logged out users look better

though tags may seem appealing right now, i feel like it would detract from the human-interaction theme of Wo.M. Adding tags makes posts feel artificial because it is a way of getting more people to see your content, and therefore making you more likely to lie to gain popularity. however, without tags, it is entirely up to the community which posts are popular, not some stupid algorithm, therefore making posts seem more natural and lifelike. though, this is just my opinion, and im not a wom dev, so i have no control over what happens.
could you put up the stats of wasteof (like people and posts) somewhere on wasteof?
