also wasteof is too small for hashtags to be actually useful. i wonder if a different tagging system might be a little more effective - eg. self reported tags that you can categorize your own posts into

yeah, you already update the counter when there’s a socket message update, just send a notification using https://pushjs.org or something which makes it easier
