my mom signed me up for what she thought was a school breakfast event but in reality was a fellowship of christian athletes meeting. as i am not christian, i ended up looking stupid for 30 minutes while everyone else was praying and doing bible study. it was even worse cause i’m indian and everyone else there was white so i kept getting weird looks cause no one expects an indian guy to be christian. in my mom’s defense the message that they sent us was not clear at all about what the meeting was.

keep your head up high. life will be hard, and there will be a lot of disappointment. just remind yourself that it's pain that helps us grow and learn from mistakes, and to always remind yourself that there are upsides to a situation, and not to focus too hard on the negatives.
