I recently acquired 3 laptops, 2 from the mid 2000s and one from the mid 2010s. One of the laptops was working perfectly, while one of them had a problem with it randomly setting a bios password. I had to bridge a solder joint to get it working again, which it does, but it keeps overheating. The laptop from the mid 2010s has a broken keyboard so there's not too much I can do about it. I've been messing around with yhe working laptop and managed to get FreeBSD installed:
