I told my uncle about this because they visited there, they actually went to one of the $1 houses to see if it was a scam. It turns out they’re actually a great deal, if you’re willing to put in the work to make them livable.
Apparently you can get run down houses for $1.05 in Italy, and fix them up and live there. Pretty hype.
I think it’s economic and or population revitalization they’re after for smaller communities. The only catch is you’d have to leave your home and manage to find work in a far away country where you probably don’t speak the language well, but I mean loads of people have done that to get to the US…

You don’t have to live there I think. But yeah you have to either work on it yourself, or deal with contractors who only speak Italian and are on another continent.
Maybe someday if I’m rich I’ll buy an Italian vacation home then
