I have finally jumped the gap into Artificer’s campaign. I'm currently on Cycle 7, in the shelter near the Exterior - Precipice gate. It turns out that carrying around scavenger corpses isn't as necessary as it seems; I could, in theory, complete the entire campaign with only one scav corpse, as the Mem. Crypts-Exterior and wall-top Exterior-Pebbles both have no karma requirement either way, and the Exterior-Metropolis gate has a different kind of requirement.
I haven't needed to make many explosives so far. For evasive situations, such as climbing a section of The Leg with a cyan lizard following closer behind, the concussive blast was all I needed. And for eating purposes, mauling lantern mice, grappling worms and spiders was also quite fun. Repeatedly getting shot by a spitter spider? Not so fun.
While I had karma flower protection in Shaded Citadel, I noticed the reinforcement ring flickering, similar to how the entire karma indicator does in Saint’s campaign. Interesting.
