update: finally got it looked at and x-rays didn’t show any fractures, seems like it was just dislocated but due to the spraining on the lower knuckle it bruised more and appeared more crooked than a dislocation typically would.

the hand specialist also told me that my finger joints are abnormally loose and flexible which explains why it’s so easy for my fingers to get hurt + why they always seem worse than they actually are

he was disturbed by my ability to crack my knuckles horizontally so i guess i’m just built different
