Hot Take: I don’t like/recommend liking your own posts but it’s fine if it’s others choice to like their own post, but only liking your own posts and no one else’s is extremely petty/arrogant. Same goes for following no users apart from yourself if you do.

For me the like button is an indication of how other people like/agree with your post. Liking your own post makes it seems like your post did better than it actually did, which I don’t like
i still likeother people's posts and follow other users, though. it's not like i'm keeping social actions to myself/not giving them to others.
