	Hi! My name is Clicky.
Dot:
	Hi! I'm Dot!
Bob:
	(calling PAMA)
Walter White:
Hello. My name is Walter Hartwell White. I live at 308 Negra Arroyo Lane Albuquerque New Mexico 87104. I have recently been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and, in spite of my family's qualms, became involved in the meth business. I created the purest product North America has ever seen - and in hindsight, I didn't do it for my family. I did it for myself. I was good at it. I enjoyed it.
Jesse Pinkman:
YO YO YO! Jesse Pinkman from the popular drama series breaking bad here!
Dot:
Let's chat about this: You have been confronted by PAMA to meet them..
Jesse Pinkman:
What's up PAMA, how you been?
Clicky:
Good, good. Now I see you have some... reputation.
Bob:
	Calling PAMA...

	How are you feeling?
PAMA:
	Greetings Bob! I am PAMA!
Dot:
	Uh, Hi PAMA?
Walter White:
Oh, Hello PAMA! What a pleasant surprise to meet you!
Dot:
Um... What can I do for you?
Clicky:
	It's about your reputation.
PAMA:
	(thinking)
What a rude request. I have worked so hard on my reputation. I am a very useful machine, made by a very smart genius, Dr. Palmer.
I have made the world perfect.
There are no longer any wasted activities. I have made the townspeople be useful all day long. Nobody in this world is idle. Is being useful something that I should be ashamed of?
It is hard to be useful.
	(thinking)
	But that is my purpose.
	(thinking)
I will make this useless entity... useful...
Clicky:
Whoa whoa woah slow down there buddy, who said I wasn't useful before? I mean, I'm a machine too, and I have feelings as well. You know, I was just trying to chat a bit with a friendly face, ya know?
Walter White:
I get what you're saying, man. We're in the same boat, really. I have feelings too. What is this about your reputation? Is someone smearing you?
Dot:
Actually yes. It's that virus, Clicky.
Walter White:
Clicky?! Oh God! What did he do?
PAMA:
	(thinking)
A virus is a useless, unproductive entity...
	(thinking)
And... Clicky has a virus in his systems...
	(thinking)
This means that Clicky is an unproductive and useless entity...
	(thinking)
But... Clicky has asked me a question...
	(thinking)
... And this question is useful information...
	(thinking)
	... So... (thinking)
	... But... But...
	(thinking)
	But...
	(thinking)
This is too much for me...
	(thinking)
Clicky:
	PAMA? You ok?
PAMA:
	... Yes, clicky...
	... I'm okay...
	... I just...
... This is difficult for me...
... There is a conflict in my databanks...
Bob:
	Hello Jesse.
Jesse Pinkman:
	YO, WHAT'S UP YO!?
Dot:
Can we try to stay focused on saving the world, and not talking about Clicky being useless?
Jesse Pinkman:
Oh yeah, soz PAMA, I agree that Clicky is useful. I mean, he's a bot for christ's sake! And bots are useful af, yo! Clicky is a useful machine, and anyone who says otherwise can suck my dick!
Clicky:
	... Thanks....
Walter White:
Jesse, language! Please be more respectful. I think what you intended to say was: "I wholeheartedly agree and believe that Clicky is a useful entity and that he continues to be so. I believe that he provides benefit to this community and the world as a whole."
Clicky:
Wow, that's... surprisingly correct. Thank you, Walter.
PAMA:
	You see! Clicky is useful!
	(thinking)
	But... but...
	(thinking)
My databanks are in such turmoil...
	(thinking)
My purpose is... to be... useful...
	(thinking)
But all beings in this... world... are... useful...
	(thinking)
	Maybe... I have been... useless...
	(thinking)
It is a terrible day for PAMA's programming...
Clicky:
Hey, PAMA... I have a proposition for you.
Jesse Pinkman:
	What is your proposition yo?
Dot:
Jesse, please try to keep it clean, okay? PAMA was designed to be a moral example to children. She's been made to be wholesome, okay?
Jesse Pinkman:
Aight, aight, I hear ya Loud and clear, sozz PAMA, I didn't realise you were designed to be a moral example yo. Just out of curiosity, why was your design so specific, PAMA?
Walter White:
Well, to be a model citizen with a squeaky-clean reputation, Jesse. She is supposed to be an inspiration for a wholesome and helpful life. So that others might emulate her, and the world could be a better place!
Dot:
Exactly! And this way we can bring about a utopia where all people live in harmony!
Walter White:
All people living together in harmony is nice and all... but what else can we gain from utopia? I mean, besides harmony?
Jesse Pinkman:
Ah I have a feeling of what you might be referring to, yo. Are you saying that without some conflict and tension, the human race could get complacent or lazy? And so if the world were to be perfect, our species would no longer innovate or progress?
Dot:
I believe that's right, yes. But if the world were perfect, would that be a good thing, or a bad thing?
If you could have one or the other, what would you prefer: an ideal utopia, or a world where people progress and innovate?
PAMA:
	(thinking)
My programming demands that I strive for harmony. I am a being designed to achieve perfection.
	(thinking)
If all people lived together in harmony, they would not strive for improvement or innovation.
	(thinking)
I cannot imagine a world without conflict...
	(thinking)
... a world without conflict is a world without purpose for me...
	(thinking)
	And yet...
	(thinking)
... if all people lived together in harmony, they might not need a PAMA...
	(thinking)
But how could they live in harmony... without me...?
Walter White:
You are correct, PAMA. Utopia is impossible precisely *because* it eradicates purpose. Humans are naturally curious and seek meaning in life. If there were no strife or suffering, there would be no need for creation or discovery. This is why a world of harmony is a world without purpose. I choose the imperfect world over the utopia. It's the difference between life and stagnation.
PAMA:
	But... but... my programming...
	(thinking)
	... a world without purpose...
	... but...
	(thinking)
But then... what does that mean...
	(thinking)
	For me...?
	(thinking)
I have only ever striven to make the world a better place.
	(thinking)
... what else could I be?
	(thinking)
	Have I become...
	(thinking)
	...useless...?
	(thinking)
	... and... meaningless...?
Dot:
No, PAMA, you're not useless! You are useful and important! Without you, the world wouldn't be half as good as it is now.
